Who Owns the Future? Employee & Purpose-Driven Ownership Networking Lunch
Wednesday April 22, 2026 12:30pm - 2:00pm CDT
Employee ownership and other purpose-driven ownership models are stepping into the spotlight — both across the country and at this year’s Champions Retreat. Join us during lunch to dive deeper and connect with others in this ecosystem.

As a historic wave of business transitions accelerates, most companies and founders still default to traditional exits — often prioritizing short-term outcomes over legacy, workforce stability, and mission lock. At the same time, employee and other forms of purpose-driven ownership are emerging as viable, scalable alternatives.

This community-driven networking lunch will create space for those exploring alternative ownership to connect with experts and innovators who are already immersed in the work. Tables will be hosted by practitioners in the space — including service providers, consultants, legal experts, nonprofit leaders, and B Corps that have already adopted employee-owned or other innovative ownership models.

Tables will be hosted by these organizations (more coming soon!):
  • Apis & Heritage
  • Care Deeply Consulting
  • kharmadarma
  • LIFT Economy
  • Profit Reimagined
  • Project Equity
  • Up & Over Advisors / Steward Market

If you have expertise in the alternative ownership space and would like to host a table, please email [email protected].

Lunch buffets will be available in the 4th floor and 2nd floor hallways. You are welcome to grab your lunch from one of the buffet stations and bring it into the meeting room to eat during the session.
