Dr. Ileana Albareda is Executive Director of the Green Schools National Network (GSNN), a nonprofit that partners with school districts nationwide to embed sustainability and climate resilience into every aspect of K–12 education. A former district supervisor from Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Ileana brings more than two decades of experience in systems transformation, equity, and instructional innovation.Under her leadership, GSNN advances the GreenPrint Framework, a roadmap for whole-school sustainability, and the Green Spark Innovation Showcase, a virtual experience that amplifies student-led solutions for climate action. She is passionate about connecting educators, students, and purpose-driven organizations to co-create a just and regenerative future.Ileana is a frequent keynote speaker and advocate for aligning education with environmental and social responsibility, helping schools and communities model what it means to live and learn sustainably.
