B Corp Champions Retreat 2026

Susmita is Senior Manager in the Standards team at B Lab Global and has been leading various standards development projects for B Corp Certification. Susmita is responsible for managing the evolution of the standards for B Corp Certification where she serves as the liaison with various other teams within the B Lab and Sistema B Global Network and with B Lab’s independent standards governance bodies. Susmita also spearheaded the design and development of the second consultation and is leading on its execution. Besides the evolution of the standards for B Corp Certification, her work at B Lab has included the development of the SDG Action Manager in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact, developing B Lab’s positions on controversial issues related to business, and developing COVID-19 related resources for companies. Susmita has 17 years of experience spanning standards development, stakeholder engagement, sustainability consulting, and engineering design and development. Susmita holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India.
