About me
Nick is the extension assistant for the Kansas State University Regenerative Agriculture Initiative. Originally from Butler County, KS, he completed his undergraduate degree in Sustainability & Environmental Studies from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS and earned an M.S. in Agronomy from Kansas State University. His graduate research was on cropping systems in Western Kansas. Nick briefly worked at the USDA-NRCS before starting his current position at K-State. In his position, he serves as a technical advisor for the King Arthur Grains for Good program and works to develop extension materials and events to inform Kansas farmers about Kansas State's latest research on regenerative agriculture. This includes the K-State Regen Ag Podcast, which he hosts. He is excited about the King Arthur Grains for Good program's role in regenerative agriculture, given its science-based, context-driven approach to promoting regenerative practices and its potential to generate valuable data and research on how to layer those practices to maximize soil health outcomes.
