LaShawndra Vernon is a solutions-based leader and collective impact practitioner with over 20 years of experience across the nonprofit, public health, and arts sectors. She is highly skilled in translating international human rights treaties and UN Sustainability Goals into cultural policy, focusing on building resilient, creative ecosystems. Her expertise includes monitoring and evaluation, community engagement, mitigation, disaster preparedness, and systems design, all grounded in a commitment to liberatory practices, social justice, and cultural agility.
As the Founder & CEO of Pryme Solutions, a Certified B Corporation™, she advises institutions on conflict transformation, resilience strategies, and policy systems change. Her executive leadership experience includes serving as Executive Director for both Artists Working in Education, Inc. and Walnut Way Conservation Corp. She has also directed major public health and community engagement initiatives as a Program Director at United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, including the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families (LIHF) research partnership.
Ms. Vernon's influence extends to public service through key appointments: she is a Commissioner on the Wisconsin Arts Board (appointed by Governor Tony Evers), Chair of the Bronzeville Advisory Committee, and Founding Chair of the Human Trafficking Task Force of Greater Milwaukee. She is the author of Fail Forward: Stories of Brave Intuitive Leadership (2025) and The Conflict Transformation Journal (2023).
