About me
Chris Castro is a senior sustainability and clean energy leader with more than 17 years of cross-sector experience spanning nonprofit founding, entrepreneurship, local and federal public service, and executive leadership in sustainable finance. His career has been dedicated to advancing climate action, energy transition, resilient communities, and impact-oriented financial solutions.
Chris currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Climate First Bank, the first FDIC-insured values-based community bank focused on climate finance and ESG investing. In this role he leads the bank’s sustainability strategy, develops innovative green financing products, forges partnerships to accelerate climate investment, and helps scale impact nationally. He originally joined the bank as a Founding Director and played a key role in launching the institution.
